Major Multiple Trauma Rehabilitation

Our program is designed to provide individually customized rehabilitation services to adults suffering from serious injuries to three or more regions of the body. Patients who suffer from this degree of severity usually experience multi-functional impairments that have a high risk of partial or permanent participation restrictions in one or more dimensions of their lives. The population, therefore, requires highly specialized and coordinated rehabilitation services to maximize their functional outcomes. Our program addresses a broad range of client needs including physical, psychiatric, psychological, behavioral disorders and mild to moderate brain injury. Our expert medical specialists and rehabilitation professionals, using a team-based approach to patient care, design individually customized rehabilitation plans in collaboration with patients and their families in order to achieve maximum quality of life and independence.

Specialists have traditionally been trained to treat single systems but
trauma can affect many systems at once: musculoskeletal, neurological, psychological.

At UMRH, we are trained to treat all aspects of Major Multiple Trauma.
