Stroke Rehabilitation
This program is for patients who exhibit
functional deficits of neurogenic origin caused by cerebral vascular
accidents, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's Disease, Guillain Barré Syndrome
and other neuro-degenerative diseases. This program also includes
clients with neurological deficits related to recent surgery. Individually
customized rehabilitation programs are developed for patients by
highly skilled and committed rehabilitation teams that focus on addressing
complex health, social and emotional issues facing those who have
experienced stroke or other complex neurological conditions. The patient
team, representing the full range of rehabilitation
professionals and medical specialists, works with patients and their
families to expedite their recovery and return to the community and
the workplace.
Our dedicated and highly trained team of rehabilitation
professionals and medical specialists work with the patient and family
to every extent possible to achieve a high quality of life and independence
for the individual recovering from stroke or complex neurological conditions.
Comprehensive education and support programs are available for patients
and their family members to manage speech and cognitive impairments.
The rehabilitation team works closely with the patient and family to
develop rehabilitation goals and to plan for discharge from the Hospital.
